National maritime museum opened in 1958, known for displaying the 1909 Dar Pomorza sailing ship.
This ship had an exciting past as a Cadet Training Ship. It started service in 1930 and would do a European trip and a longer West Indies trip each year. In 1934 it sailed around the World covering 38746 miles, what an experience that must have been for those fortunate enough to gain a place on that trip. It was also invloved in bicentennial celebrations in USA in 1976.In 1939 she sailed to Sweden and was protected in Stockholm till after the War. Her last voyage was in 1981, she was replaced as the cost of refit would have been almost the same as a new ship. Now she remains a Museum ship. The Museum gives you all of its history, you can then tour the engine room, living quarters and finally the deck.Well worth the visit.

Fascinating museum about the history of the ship and lots of opportunities to explore the ship and experience how older ships operated. Its not huge, we took our time and talked about a lot of things and finished in about 30/40 minutes. There is a very tiny gift shop that sells things like magnets, bookmarks, postcards etc.A very nice and interesting little museum and a beautiful ship.
Great experience
The ship was impressive

Super.
The Ship was lit up and looked amazing in Gdynia harbour. There were several museums open free of charge and the city was buzzing with lots of people enjoying a mild night and gathering to see a fireworks display.
It was ok, but my friend is on a wheelchair and couldnt access a lot of the things there.
Very interesting experience!
Beautiful tall ship! Gorgeous streamline You can feel time and history coming out of its pores. Inside exhibits are informative but could have been done a bit more creatively. Still worth a visit and to take photos on its deck
Very interested, recomend
Very nice place
What a wonderful experience ! These are real treasure of Poland worthy to see. H34 SHIP is massive!!❤
Most interesting point to discover at pier
Worthseeing in the center of Gdynia
Its a museum on a ship next to a museum on a ship! This museum portrays the history of this specific ship and how it came to be. Its gone through some conversions and have some rooms on display on what people used to live with while on board.
A nice place to visit, to see how seilors worked, rested and of course a small piece of history.
brilliant experience..takes you back in time
Vocabulry is too modest to express impressions and emotions. Prewar poor Poland knew how to lead its education to meet the needs of new, reborn Poland.
Very nice old and huge yacht. Now is it museum. Recommend!!!
A great attraction for kids and those in love with the sea. Be careful as it gets crowded from early morning hours
the best place in Gdynia, you can see battle ship and other ships
If your are traveling around Trójmiasto this is a spot that you have to check out.You can check out some nice battleship which is museum along site other beautiful ships which you can check, some of them are restaurants. In total the spot it’s a nice spot to stop by. You can eat some food, check out ships, there is aquarium and very nice views. It might be hard to park car over there
Very interesting place. However, exposition should be renewed.
Very well preserved and interesting exhibition of a ship that was used for training Polish naval officers for several decades.Very friendly and helpful guides who also speak English. Recommended for everybody interested in history, ships, showing their kids how life was before and in general expanding their horizons. The display of knots on the lower deck fits perfectly with the large amounts of rope and the smell of tar and salty seas.
Crew of the ship very welcoming and willing to share stories about ship and their crew members. Captain was very nice guy. Had great time there.
One of the Gdynias must see. Sailing ship museum.
Interesting visit & the entrance is included in the Gdansk tourist card
Live and interesting history of Poland navy army told inside the ship. Orented for mens and boys.
Beautiful place with large ship...
Very good place to visit. A little bit poor in sense of numbers of ships, but good for children. They were really interested
Wonderful place for a visit. Plenty of history there. Great location.
From the out side it was very good ! Unfortunately it was closed on the day we went . But still over all good experience
It was good experience
A wonderful piece of Maritime history you can really feel what its like to be on a tall ship also great for those that want to find out what it was like for the newborn polish Navy to initiate a complex program training naval officers really worth a visit
Beautiful museum ship.I was here: 28 September 2018
Great amount to see below deck, some tight spaces might make claustrophobes nervous. English audio tour available.
Feeling the past in this boat...Very authentic exhibition of the history of the boat. Very well made and worth the money to get there.
Elegant German Blohm & Voss sailing ship (1909which can be visited as an interesting museum ship.
Very nice ship with an interesting history. All the areas are accessible so you can really see all the ships guts :)
It is pretty boring, but there are some things that got me interested. And theres a nice view of the sea.
I enjoyed showing it to my kids. Having read all the books and being a yahtsman it helped explaining all weird pieces of equipment. I enjoyed a lot, they did too and were fascinated about how it was all figured out. Recommended.
Nice place to visit in gadenia
The most iconic ship in Gdynia (not counting Blyskawica of course). Shes beautiful and worth visiting!
She is beautiful :Gdynias Icon. One of the most beautiful tall ships out there
Magnificent vessel, and try to come here just before the sun is setting for some amazing pictures!
